Eagerly waiting for the Mystery Dinner to begin.
On Saturday, we did a quick shopping round (after a mandatory, but lighter breakfast at the Patrician of course!) before we went to see another bunch of dueSers for lunch at the Pickle Barrel. Naturally, quite some nerding ensued… though we had had the pleasure to see some of them for a bit on the night before, as they returned after seeing “Domesticated” for the second time. Erika standing on the glass floor over 300 meters above the ground in the CN Tower.
This Friday, it was finally time for us to head for the top… well, technically not the *very* top, but rather the observation deck of the CN Tower! And what a thrilling experience it was… Continue reading In which a Swedish lighthouse gets to meet a relative, we walk on glass and find some Nemos. →
Tiffany, Erika and I meet up with Tom Melissis for a coffee (or, well, water in my case! ;-))
After another breakfast at the Patrician, we all headed for the Distillery District again to meet up with Tom Melissis. We first met him at the RCW 139 convention last year and have been chatting with him on and off on Facebook and Twitter since then. Tom is known as detective “Dewey” from the last season of due South (or last two seasons if you’re from the US) and is currently starring in Degrassi, the (live and interactive) mystery dinner show called “Spy School” in Toronto, and more. And he’s a very funny guy; we got to laugh a lot. 😀 Continue reading Of many meetings, some partings… and a dyslectic Santanist. →
Christmas market at the Distillery district
The day before yesterday we finished the evening going out and having a light dinner at the food court at the Eaton Centre. Tiffany had some poutine, and I settled for a Subway sandwich. Erika got some sushi… which unfortunately turned out to be a very bad choice. Continue reading Of bad sushi and BRILLIANT theater… theatre, um yeah! →
Erika at the Patrician Grill. Note the painting in the background!
After sleeping for eight *wonderful* hours in this fantastic bed, I woke up to a cold, but lovely Toronto morning! We weren’t exactly in a hurry to get out, but when we did, we headed straight to the Patrician Grill for a late breakfast, or an early lunch. Continue reading Breakfast at The Patrician and some shopping! →
